Rock Mountain Hardware
Whenever a need arose on a project for a particular type of hardware that just couldn't be found, Rocky Mountain Hardware created it. This grew into the realization that there was a market for a new line of hardware: a simple, handcrafted look that would work equally as well in a rustic log home, a Mediterranean style villa, a French country house, or a more contemporary southwest-style project. Rocky Mountain Hardware's staff observed that most of the higher-quality hardware being produced at the time was specific to a particular region or style, and therefore limited in its appeal.
From the custom door hardware work emerged a line of escutcheons, knobs, and levers. Rocky Mountain Hardware developed a unique spring-assisted escutcheon system that overcame the common problem of levers that sag and lose the ability to latch accurately. New product lines came into being to address demand for similar quality throughout a construction cabinet and window hardware, multi-point hardware, and later sinks and plumbing fixtures. All along the way, kitchen and bath accessories were fashioned as needs arose.
